The King's Palace Cafe neon has hung over Beale Street since the turn of the last century and there is good reason for that. On a street known for classics, it is a classic in a league of its own. Lauded by food critics the world over and featured numerous times on national TV and in culinary magazines, our award winning menu features New Orleans style fare.
If you are bringing a date to Beale, King's Palace Cafe is where you want to dine. The atmosphere is warm and attractive and the music sets the mood. The upstairs features private dining rooms when you want that extra privacy for a celebration or business meeting.
Live blues and jazz are featured 7 nights a week. Local favorite David Bowen holds down the main stage Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday the sultry Lyn Cardona lights up the stage with an array of jazz and standards. Rudy Williams, who is affectionately know as "The Mayor of Beale Street" entertains guests at the front door with his trumpet and mix of old jazz tunes.
When it is sunny with a breeze coming off the Mississippi River, the King's Palace Patio is the place to be. This open air venue features live music 7 days a week (weather permitting). Ms. Zeno, the Louisiana Mojo Queen, plays an afternoon matinee of blues that is hotter than the Delta sun. Local rockers 2 Weeks Notis carry the stage into the evening. Other local favorites who grace this stage on a regular basis include Pam & Terry, Juke Joint All Stars, and the Plantation All Stars.
